I heard a rather interesting theory for the Pokeverse and I decided that for fun, and to kind of bump my gallery up a bit (SHAMELESS PLUGS!) I would elaborate on it and kind of make my own take on it. Essentially, the poke’mon universe was engulfed in a world wide war between the regions. This would explain why characters like Lt.Surge mention a war, why locations are devastated, being rebuilt, and there’s a very distinctive age gap in the citizens. In most games you’re a young kid without a father. Adults are restricted to scientists, breeders, and renegades. So I’ll draw off this a bit more.
Here’s a wartortle fighting for the Kanto forces, the sole survivor of a devastating self-destruct mine trap. Despite his serious condition, he’s pulling himself up and struggling back onto the battlefield to join his trainer…if he survived.
I DO plan on doing some cleaner, more refined pieces but I’m working on a collab and I only had 40 minutes to work on this today so this is what I did. It’s not much but it’s a start!
