Augh. I’ve been doing math since noon! I had five chapters to memorize and understand and two worksheets to do. I managed to do two chapters and a third of both worksheets. It’s progress but it’s not enough. And… I have an exam next week. Guess what I get to do all day Friday and Monday?

What’s worse is this class is going WAY too fast. You learn the basics, the moderate, and the complicated stuff all in the same day. Normal classes give you the basics, make you exercise that, bump it up to the moderate, more exercise, then finally introduce the complicated stuff and give us a day to work that out. THEN the exam. Throwing it all together in one giant clusterfuck of numbers is just mind-blowing. We have two three hour classes in a week and we’re expected to put in 15 hours of homework and study time. Know what that means for any free time?

I have put in, on average, 17 hours. And I’m getting a C.
That’s just MATH. Biology is a whole different monster. The first few weeks of class was ‘How you are a monkey and will be tested on whether or not you believe this.’ This was only broken up by a field trip that occupied an entire weekend (really. Morning to night) and even then, evolutionism came up. I spent the entire three hour bus ride home witnessing to someone and debating evolution.

Now we’re moving onto a section I like to call “humans are the devil and this is why- oh yeah and Polar Bears are Jesus.” We watched a movie about overpopulation and did a lab where we looked at fertility rates, population increases, etc. Guess what our lab showed? …all of that is decreasing.

Has anyone ever walked across Eastern Oregon? The Mid-US? …. it’s pretty desolate. If it’s over-crowded where you live- move. All of us can drown in Loch Ness at the same time. I don’t think we’re over populated. We are, however, over-sexualized but of course that’s not the problem. We need more dead babies. That’ll fix things.

We’re still not done with the hardwood floor project. The floors, walls, trims, and windows are done (that was a lot more than we thought we’d have to do but the room was pretty bad.). Now we have to move all the construction stuff out, sweep, and replace my furniture. I’m a little depressed because Dad is already talking about putting an office in and… well I know I need to be moved out by now but I’m barely making enough money to pay off a phone bill and eat during the week. I can’t take more hours because of school. If I quit school I’m stuck working at a deli. There’s no winning.
