German Medieval Fighting Axe

- Measurements: Head 32.5 cm. Overall length 135.5 cm
In excavated condition, the head of the axe is formed with a near-straight cutting-edge inwardly curved towards the top. The bottom is cut straight across the inner face flat and showing the forging line of the cutting-edge. It features a shaped rectangular socket: on a modern haft of two-hand size.
