Now normally I couldn’t care less if I lose followers/watchers on dA if they think my stuff is getting boring, less original, or whatever reason provided — that’s okay.
When it comes to controversial topics that requires people’s opinions, I’ll gladly say what’s on my mind. However, what bothers me is when people say ridiculous things like this: “I lost all respect for you as an artist because (insert my opinion about a topic here)” and decide to.degrade me for having a different opinion than theirs towards a topic.
Same said for whenever I defend for myself — whenever I get insulted especially if it includes ignorance, I will reply back (not counting trolls ofc) defending for myself not resorting into getting my friends involved. But then in the next moment, the magical “I lost all respect for you as an artist” sentence pops up and I get chastised by others for stating for what I believe in.
Artists are people too, they have their own rights to stand up for themselves and their opinions.
