My God I think I’m destined to screw up, get caught in every crack of the school system, and flail around like a lunatic every single term I go to school. Yesterday I panicked because a class (CS160) was way in over my head. I read through the material and understood maybe half of it. Thinking that I was supposed to sign up fir CIS101 instead, I contacted every teacher I could about it and the school admissions office. I managed to get one teacher to approve of my going in and got the thumbs up to register today. I dropped the 160 and added the 101. I felt great for about ten minutes.
Then I got another e-mail from admissions saying that I was supposed to take 160 instead of 101 because 101 no longer counts as a science course (Computer Information SCIENCE doesn’t count for science?). So… now I have to e-mail both teachers and explain the screw up and hope they show mercy on my pathetic corpse. IF I get admitted back into 160, I have to go through with the class which, as I stated before, is way in over my head. However, for my degree I need a ton of science credits in two disciplines. So Biology was out, the Geology and other disciplines required a pre-req that is only offered in the fall (it’s now spring term) so I’m stuck with CS.
God willing I can clear this up and get on the ball. I swear if I don’t get white hair by the end of the week, it will be a small miracle.
