The Biblical view of the genders

This is a very good article regarding the Biblical perspective of the male and female halves of humanity.

It is a very popular misconception that the Bible teaches to discriminate against women, that it encourages abuse against women, and in today’s society where it’s popular to throw mud at the Bible a lot of people are believing it without actually reading the book. Regardless of what is popular in society, male and female are vastly different. Physically, mentally, and emotionally. Two halves of humanity that are vastly different, incomplete alone, but together are one.

Up until God made Adam, everything he saw was ‘very good’. When he came to Man it was the very first time that God stopped and said “It’s not good.” Why? God says that it’s not good that man was alone. Now, he could have made another man. He could have made it so that humans could reproduce without the aid of another gender, but he didn’t. He could have made Eve from Adam’s foot or hand to symbolize their place- but he made her from his side. It wasn’t until he had put a woman with the man that he said that they were ‘very good’. The Bible is filled with messages of equality, love, and compassion towards both genders.

The first time Jesus openly claimed a stranger as part of his kin was towards a woman who had the courage to touch his robes. In that day and age, if someone touched a holy man without sharing a blood tie, there was trouble. So in order to save her, he claimed her as his sister.

Long story short- read the book before commenting on it.
